**Updated May 21st, 2021**

I hope you have had a nice week. We have enjoyed the warmer temperatures this week.

As you may be aware, the CDC and the Governor of Virginia have recently issued changes to its guidance for face mask usage and physical distancing for individuals who have been vaccinated; however, this guidance does not apply to healthcare settings including nursing centers. While patients and visitors who have been fully vaccinated may choose to not wear a mask and be within 6 feet of one another when visiting privately, we are required to enforce mask wearing and physical distancing by everyone while in the Center in shared spaces and hallways. These measures continue to protect patients and staff members who are unable to receive the COVID-19 vaccine due to medical reasons or have not yet been fully vaccinated.

County Positivity Rate:  Decreased to 3.6%.
Testing Frequency for Staff and Patients: Unvaccinated staff are tested weekly based on county positivity rate. Patients and staff may be tested as needed based on symptoms, exposure, or during an outbreak.
PPE: The supply remains adequate. Staff receive ongoing education on appropriate PPE utilization.
Visitation: Virtual and scheduled indoor and outdoor visitation are all currently available. To schedule, click this link: https://potomacfalls-rehab.com/patient-visitation/.
*Previous cumulative data on COVID-19 may be found on the Center’s website: https://potomacfalls-rehab.com/.

Please feel free to reach out with any questions you may have.

Sincerely,
