Heather relocated to Northern Virginia from Minnesota, where she has had an extensive career in nursing, starting as a CNA, LPN, and then RN. Over the last five years, Heather has been leading the nursing department. She believes that her career path has given her the opportunity “to understand the vital role each member of the nursing team has to contribute to quality care.”
When asked what drives her passion for nursing, Heather says, “I am passionate about the application of the highest standard of care. I want our patients to receive outstanding care from compassionate professionals. Therapeutic nursing care is individualized, holistic, ethical, and culturally competent. I strive to build teams that consistently provide optimal, holistic patient care that respects the individual, maximizes their outcomes, and ultimately improves the quality of life.”
