Meet Zohra Ibrahimi, CNA

Zohra started working at Potomac Falls in October 2014. She lives in Fairfax. Zohra has always dreamed of being a Medical Doctor or pursuing a career in the medical field. She is originally from Afghanistan and it was very difficult if not impossible for her to go to school or college.

Zohra moved to the United States in September 2013. She took English classes and then took the first step towards her goal to work in the medical field: getting a certificate as a nurse assistant (CNA) in October 2014.

She didn’t stop there and enrolled in a nursing school to become a licensed practical nurse. Zohra will be graduating by the end of 2015. She says she will never stop studying and plans to become an RN (Registered Nurse).

Helping people who need help is something that makes Zohra feel good about her job and life. That’s why besides working as a CNA she also works as a volunteer at Novant Prince William Medical Center in the ER department. Zohra’s father always dreamed of her becoming a doctor one day.

She will do all her best to make his dream come true. Zohra speaks Dari/Farsi and works very hard to be even more fluent in English as well. She spends most of her time studying and trying to find time for shopping. Riding a bicycle and going for camping are a few of her hobbies.

Zohra’s motto: “Keep going. Never give up!”
